Feedback

When you suggest an event or report an issue, we collect your message, the selected event and reason when applicable, an optional source link, and an optional email address. We store feedback to review it, investigate reports, and respond when you supplied an email.

We keep database backups for 14 days. Closed or rejected feedback and its review records are scheduled for removal 90 days after the final review.

Submissions are reviewed manually and are never published automatically. An editor may use Codex AI assistance when reviewing a submission. The optional contact email is kept out of that review input. Please do not put sensitive personal information in feedback. If AI assistance is used, the applicable OpenAI privacy policy also applies.

Security and hosting

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the feedback form to help distinguish people from automated submissions. Turnstile processes browser signals for that purpose; its documentation says it does not access, store, or transmit form entries or other page inputs. The site, feedback service, database, backups, and operational records are hosted on Microsoft Azure. Azure services may process information needed to deliver, secure, and operate the service.

Analytics

With your permission, we use Microsoft Clarity heatmaps and session replay to understand how people use the site. It loads only after you choose Accept and may set its own analytics cookies to recognize a browser session. Decline prevents Clarity from loading. Change your analytics choice.

We do not create Clarity custom identifiers or send feedback text, email addresses, or location coordinates as Clarity tags. Feedback text is masked. The location marker has no text or coordinates in its DOM.

Microsoft documents 30-day retention for playback data and nine-month retention for click and heatmap data and sessions marked or saved in Clarity. Read the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

We also measure a small set of first-party site actions as aggregate counts in Azure Monitor to understand whether the site is working. This measurement does not use Google Analytics. We do not send feedback text, email addresses, or location coordinates with these actions.

Operational and analytics logs are retained in the Azure Monitor workspace for 30 days.

Browser features

Saved event IDs stay in your browser’s local storage so the site can show your saved events. We do not use them for analytics.

If you choose “Show my location,” your browser requests permission for a one-time location fix. The map uses it in browser memory to center the view and show an approximate position. reno.wtf does not send those coordinates to its API, put them in URLs, or save them in local storage.
